About Mumbai Metro Line 6
Once operational, the 15.31 kilometre Pink Line will shorten the journey from Andheri to EEH by 30 to 45 minutes. Furthermore, the metro line is planned to significantly improve Mumbai’s public transit system, reducing traffic congestion and increasing commuting efficiency.
The Pink Line will not only feature 13 stations that connect to the Jogeshwari-Vikhroli link road, but it will also provide interchange facilities with lines 2A, 7, 3, and 4 at various sites.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation prepared the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for Line-6 in December 2016, which was then approved by the Maharashtra state government’s cabinet on October 24, 2017, at a cost of Rs. 6,716 crores.
The MMRDA owns the Pink route, and the Maha Mumbai Metro Operations Corporation (MMMOCL) will run and maintain all train services on the route.
On October 19, 2016, Chief Minister Fadnavis gave consent for the queue. In April 2017, the MMRDA advertised a tender for a complete aerial mapping survey of the alignment. The survey’s goal was to find trees with high accuracy of up to 10 cm using a differential GPS (DGPS) system, while a digital aerial triangulation system would define the sorts of trees, their heights, and their diameters.

Mumbai Metro Line 6 Route Map
The under-construction Mumbai Metro Line 6 will be the second metro line to connect the western and eastern suburbs. The only metro line that currently provides east-west connectivity is Metro Line 1 (Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar).

Mumbai Metro Line 6 Completion Date
